Mediabox young reporter interviews the Prime Minister
This year Mediabox have joined forces with The Times to take two young reporters, and first time voters, V.Go and Candice, to party conferences. They have been touring the party conferences asking politicians why it's so important that they use their vote.
Yesterday V.Go, 21 from Bristol, came face to face with the Prime Minister, at the roof terrace of a Brighton hotel. V.Go made the most of his opportunity, asking what can be done to tackle unemployment in the recession, the role the media plays in politics and all about his hero Barack Obama. Read about his interview in The Times here.
Last week Candice was given the chance to grill Nick Clegg about the issues she care's about, including fair trade and education, at the Liberal Democrats' conference. Read about her experiences in The Times here.
With trust in politics at an all time low the politicians interviewed will be given the chance to explain to our young reporters why their vote counts and why they should have faith in politics. Their journey to conferences will give audiences a fresh perspective on the exclusive world of party conferences.
V.Go and Candice were selected for the task from the thousands of young people that Mediabox has helped since launch in 2006.
You can watch V.Go and Candice’s experience of politics in 'Win My Vote' on Community Channel at 8pm on Tuesday October 27, Sky 539, Virgin 233, or at www.communitychannel.org
