FREE National Empowerment Good Practice Masterclass, Birmingham and Midlands Institute, 18th February 2010.
Young Advisors is working with the Community Development Foundation to host a national event to celebrate innovative engagement practice and to disseminate research on what young people have identified as the key barriers and enablers to their involvement.
With training for Young Advisors and young people to help them improve their communities, workshops for adults to develop skills for engaging with young people, and several innovative projects who will be showcasing their work it will be a day not to miss!
The event will start at 10:30 with registrations and coffee and finish at 4 (with lunch included of course).

Event will cover:
· Skills training for Young Advisors and young people to inspire community improvements including communication, leadership skills, and impact evaluation
· Understanding the national context of youth engagement and the duty to involve
· Youth lead research on barriers and enablers to young people’s empowerment
· Practical tools and support for the engagement of young people
· Learning about Young Advisors and other innovative empowerment initiatives
